Dual purpose tags!

I recently, got a birthday gift for my niece who is turning 1 on Friday! The thing is, is it's super big and oddly shaped which called for a gift bag. With little gift bags there is a whole lot you can do to make it super cute. It's harder with the bigger bags because of all the surface area that needs to be covered. That can turn into a lot of work. So I decided to make her a tag that could also be used as a wall or door hanging. It can be put in a frame with a pretty color of scrap paper behind it. You can put it in a scrapbook page or just keep it as a tag for large bags. I can imagine doing a tag for a little boy with his initial or name in it that looks like a superhero cape!! Anyhoo, this tag is about 9 1/2 tall and 6 1/4 wide. I love the way it turned out! Enjoy!

I used Iron Orchid Designs "Morning Song Collection" paper. The bag was purchased from Walgreens.

Supplies used:

Paper - Iron Orchid Designs "Morning Song Collections"
Flowers - Prima Flowers
Twine - The Scrapbooking Queen
Bag - Walgreens

  1. Super adorable! Love the colors.

  2. What an awesome way to spruce up a big ol' plain giftbag! :D I love that it's not only a huge, gorgeous, personlized tag, it's a artful wall hanging--a beautiful gift in and of itself! Ohhh look, I do believe you used the Storybook cartridge for that wonderful initial hehe, it's still probably my fave alphabet cricut has! I love this Jillian, as I'm sure your sweet little niece did today. Happy Birthday to her and how blessed she is to have such a loving Aunt with a marvelous talent for being oh-so-clever and crafty! Big hugs and happy wkend! xoxo
